Notion understands markdown tables natively — the problem is producing one from a live web page without mangling it.
Drag-select across a table often captures surrounding paragraphs, ads and captions. Pasted into Notion, the structure is gone and everything becomes loose lines of text.
A screenshot is just pixels to Notion. You end up running OCR and fixing the digit errors it introduces — worse than re-typing.
