Does the EAA apply to websites built for clients?

Yes. If a site offers a service or product to the EU public, it must meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. This includes WooCommerce stores, booking systems, and membership sites. Enforcement is ramping up across EU member states in 2026.
